Rect Raider 3.1 is Available

Rect Raider 3.1 is now available on Android. It should be available on iPhone soon, too.

The new version contains a lot of updates that you’ll never really notice, and it makes the Raider game a little harder.

In the Raider game, the reds and blues might change color on some levels.

Rect Raider 3.0 is Available

Rect Raider version 3.0 was released on Feb 5, 2019!

This new version includes a new game to play as well as improvements in the game play of the original. Some of the OS changes for the iPhones released last year seem to have broken the iPhone X support, and it should be working properly again now. No more white or black bars at the top or bottom! On Android, support for Android 4.3 and earlier is no more. The underlying libraries now target Android 4.4 (KitKat) and later only, so the Rect Raider had to move up, too.

In addition to the new game, there’s a new way to play, too. Tap Options from the main menu, and you can choose between “Tilt” and “Finger” control. The “Tilt” mode is how the game has always been played. “Finger” mode might be easier, as the white piece will move towards your finger when it’s touching the screen. Release your finger, and it will stop moving. But beware, sometimes pieces are hidden by your own hand, making it harder than you think!

Enjoy!

Rect Raider 2.2 Is Available

Rect Raider 2.2 was released at 12:00am UTC on 28 Dec 2017! This update includes new features and bug fixes.

The first thing you’ll notice is that your old high scores are gone. This happens because of a new feature and a bug fix. When you play version 2.2, the game starts off slower and easier, gradually getting harder. As the difficulty of play increases, the background will change. Because of the extreme difference in gameplay from the previous release, the old high scores aren’t really meaningful. To give you some goals, the game comes with 5 high scores to beat.

Additionally, a bug in the previous release could cause all the high scores to be lost. That shouldn’t happen with the new code. But since there were some requests to intentionally lose the high scores, a “Reset Scores” button has been added. Its use should be obvious. 🙂

This release also supports the full screen on iPhone X.

Finally, this version includes even more language translations. Please use the Support button at the top to submit improvements to the existing translations, or even whole new translations. Please note that any suggestions will be reviewed before accepting them.
